چکیده
This article investigates the challenges teachers experience while learning to teach English through drama in an action research project. Through closely examining fundamental causes, it discerns knowledge constituents crucial for successful and implementation of teaching. Difficulties are identified from three aspects: text selection interpretation, translation into activities, classroom implementation. Referring Shulman’s teacher construct (1986, 1987), author argues that pedagogy teaching demands a changed perspective on language regarding its form meaning also as both subject pedagogy. Only then can effectively link create meaningful experience.
